According to the San Bernardino County Sun, a fatal crash occurred on August 08, 2010 at the intersection of Highway 62 and Encelia Avenue resulted in the death of a 48-year-old woman pedestrian. The victim has been identified as Sandra Dawn Cox of Twenty Nine Palms. The fatal accident took place during the evening hours. The driver of the 2005 Chrysler was driven by the 19-year-old Lacey Barker who hit Cox as she was crossing the Highway 62. Investigations are being taking place in order to know the exact cause of the accident.
