A news report appearing in the Orange County revealed the death of a 57- year old woman named Eloisa Aguilar when an out of control vehicle hit her on September 1, 2010 at 2600 block of Harbor Boulevard between Warner Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard. According to witnesses, the driver of the car 19-year old was speeding south in his Toyota Scion on Harbor Boulevard area and the car might have jumped the red light as it approached Warner.
The speeding car was uncontrollable as it skidded across traffic lanes and hit the curb and crashed into Aguilar as she was walking on the sidewalk. The victim died on the spot. Due to the huge impact the driver also got injuries and was shifted to hospital. Later it was revealed the teen was under the influence. Further investigations are on as no charges have been leveled. It is a pity that Eloisa Aguilar, died an untimely death. It is indeed a heart breaking loss to her beloved ones. Her family has hired an attorney in San Juan Capistrano California.
California Highway Patrol’s 2008 Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System (SWITRS) have revealed that there were three fatalities and 123 injuries which resulted in pedestrian accidents in the Santa Ana area. In the Orange County as a whole, 785 people were injured and 31 people died due to pedestrian accidents during this period.
