Felony DUI:Three injured on Highway 101

Yet another case of drunken driving resulted in a crash, which occurred in the morning of August, 29, 2010 on Highway 101, near Metcalf Road, reported a Bay City News Report. In the melee three people were seriously injured. The accident was caused by a 18-year-old Eric Nun who was driving a Mercedes, which hit at the back of a standing Mitsubishi. It seems the car went out of control from Eric whom it crashed into Mitsubishi. The accident occurred when the occupant of two cars a Mitsubishi and Toyota were at a corner of highway trying to fix the flat tire on a Toyota, when their car was hit. The accident resulted in the injury to the driver of Toyota, a 23 year old man who sustained major head injuries, the driver of the Mitsubishi, a 29 year old man also suffered internal bleeding and head injuries. Nun also sustained moderate injuries. Later, Nun was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI.

It is a pity that such a crash took place which seriously injured the victims. According to State Wide Integrated Traffic Records System (SWITRS) 2008 data shows that there were 24 fatalities and 389 injuries which took place involving DUI collisions in San Jose. Like other countries, driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs is a serious crime which can put the life of other persons on road in danger.
